Silvia Rojas, MD
Silvia Rojas holds academic backgrounds in Languages and Economic Sciences and is currently a Psychology student at the Federal University of Amazonas (UFAM). She is also pursuing postgraduate studies in Clinical and Institutional Neuropsychopedagogy at Faculdade Metropolitana and in Neuroscience and Applied Psychology at Mackenzie Presbyterian University.
With over sixteen years of experience in teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL), Silvia Rojas has participated in international English teaching programs in Japan, following her TEFL training in London. Her professional journey extends beyond the classroom, reflecting a strong commitment to humanitarian and educational initiatives across the world
She has worked with children in vulnerable situations through NGO projects in several countries and has directly assisted individuals affected by Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in Fukushima, Japan, in Syrian refugee camps in Greece, and in Haiti. Additionally, she helped implement an educational program for 600 children in an indigenous community in Guatemala and supported local teachers through training and mentorship.
