Dr. dr. Syarief Hasan Lutfie, MD, Physiatrist, MARS

Dr. Syarief Hasan Lutfie, MD, Physiatrist, MARS, is a distinguished physiatrist, academic, and hospital administrator from Jakarta, Indonesia. Born on July 20, 1962, he currently serves as a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK), UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. With more than three decades of experience, he has contributed significantly to the advancement of physical medicine, rehabilitation, and healthcare management in Indonesia.

Dr. Syarief earned his Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.) in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia, graduating cum laude in 2008. He completed his Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Universitas Indonesia–Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (1993–1999) and his Bachelor of Medicine from Yarsi University (1987). He further pursued a Post-Doctoral Program at Keio University Hospital, Japan (2011–2012), and a Master’s Degree in Hospital Administration at Universitas Respati Indonesia (2017–2019).

In his professional career, Dr. Syarief has held several strategic positions in both medical and administrative sectors. Since 2021, he has served as Head of the Supervisory Board at Harapan Jayakarta Hospital. He previously held the position of Director of RS Hajj Hospital Jakarta (2017–2020), where he implemented key improvements in hospital service quality and operational efficiency. He currently acts as a Consultant for Hajj Health Services across various hospitals and as a Consultant for the Siaga Medika Hospitals Group.

Alongside his administrative and clinical roles, Dr. Syarief has been a dedicated lecturer at FKIK UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta since 2005, and also serves as a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Consultant for the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia. His professional interests include neurorehabilitation, musculoskeletal medicine, and integrated healthcare systems.

Dr. Syarief Hasan Lutfie has held numerous leadership and advisory positions throughout his distinguished career in the fields of hospital management, rehabilitation medicine, and health service development.

Since 2021, he has served as the Head of the Supervisory Board at Harapan Jayakarta Hospital, overseeing strategic policy and institutional governance. He also acts as a Consultant for Hajj Health Services across various hospitals since 2020, contributing his expertise to improve the quality and coordination of medical care for Hajj pilgrims.

From 2017 to 2020, Dr. Syarief was the Director of RS Hajj Hospital Jakarta, where he successfully led organizational restructuring, service expansion, and quality assurance initiatives. In addition, since 2020, he has served as a Consultant for the Siaga Medika Hospitals Group, providing strategic guidance in clinical governance and hospital administration.

An educator at heart, Dr. Syarief has been a Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK), UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta since 2005, where he teaches and mentors future medical professionals. Concurrently, he has also served since 2005 as a Consultant in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation for the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia, supporting the physical well-being of government officials and employees.
