Background

The Faculty of Medicine and Health Science, Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University (UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim) Malang, has set a vision to produce graduates with spiritual depth, moral nobility, breadth of knowledge, and professional maturity and have excellence in Hajj health sciences. Excellence in the health field for Hajj aims to support efforts to improve health services for the pilgrims of Hajj and Umrah.

Implementation of excellence in our Faculty is in the form of providing a lesson and developing study or research in the term of Hajj health. To enhance the knowledge of Hajj Health, scientific development and research results in this area must be disseminated to the academic community and the general public through seminars and scientific meetings with a broad scope. Therefore, a forum is needed to share knowledge in the field of Hajj Health. The organization of this international scientific forum is expected to increase Indonesia’s capacity in the area of Hajj Health. This forum is an effort to overcome health problems during the Hajj pilgrimage and give advantages to prepare the health workers such as doctors, nurses, and pharmacists at the forefront to provide health services for pilgrims, especially for the upcoming 2023 hajj pilgrims.

The 3rd Annual Health Symposium on Hajj and Umrah (ANSHAR) 2022 is a scientific meeting organized by the Hajj Health Unit, Faculty of Medicine and Health Science, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. This international symposium implemented the theme “Heat Emergency on Hajj Pilgrims.” This symposium also aims to provide a scientific vehicle for lecturers, researchers, students, and hajj health science activists to disseminate research results through scientific papers and posters in international screen forums.

Basic Consideration

Health services in hajj health have been implemented for decades, but the science that explicitly studies hajj health has not been widely developed. Moreover, people from the health education sector, health services, and the general public are unfamiliar with the science of Hajj health. Therefore, more scientific activities are needed to socialize and develop scientific treasures in the field of Hajj health. In addition, the basis for considering this activity is to prepare early prospective Hajj health workers to implement the 2023 Hajj so that they begin to deepen their knowledge and insight about Hajj health services.

Objectives

We are organizing an annual scientific meeting in the field of Hajj and Umrah health sciences to increase public, and health workers understanding of Hajj health sciences and make it a forum for disseminating scientific work in the field of Hajj health sciences.

Form of Activities

This activity is in the form of a symposium named 3rd ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM ON HAJJ AND UMRAH MEDICINE (ANSHAR) 2022 and has the theme Heat Emergency on Hajj Pilgrims. “

Seminar

The seminar contains presentation materials from keynote speakers from policymakers for the implementation of Hajj and Umrah as well as practitioners of the medical profession who have competence in the topic of the seminar, whether or not they are involved in Hajj health services.

Oral Presentation

An oral presentation is a session of scientific writing results or research outputs within 15 minutes in parallel classes. The participants will be divided into several groups based on the scope of their research. Each group consists of several participants led by a moderator. This session will be conducted separately from the seminar session.

The target of the activity participants is 500 people consisting of:

  1. External Participants: Hajj health workers, government agencies related to the implementation of Hajj, medical doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and prospective Hajj pilgrims
  2. Internal Participants: Lecturers and students of FKIK UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang (50 invitations

Time and Place

Activity 3rd _ The 2022 Annual Symposium on Hajj and Umrah Medicine (ANSHAR) will be held for two days.
The first day was carried out in a hybrid manner at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Science of UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang from 08.00 to 12.00. seminar participants and foreign speakers online. For committees and presenters of government agencies offline. On the second day, there was an online oral presentation of scientific papers.
